I turned off link tracking in Mautic (as I heard that is bad).
Is it true, that a) if a new user is sent an email (with the pixel) and then b) manually visits a website [with tracking code (for Mautic)] the site tracking doesn’t work? An experienced Mautic user told me site tracking only works
- when there is a link sent in the email that people click on that takes them to the website
- because a cookie is created during the visit
This is very surprising to me. Please advise!
