Hi there
I switched to mautic because of deliverability rate
I just changed VPS providers to a better spac with more ram
Now when I was with the former VPS provider my emails went right into the users mail box
With the current VPS install my emails are going to spam.
can anyone please give me pointers on how to fix this.
I am a business I do not spam people
I am thinking it may be with the set up as the first set up was done by me and the second by a Freelancer.
My current set up.
Custom return path (bounce) address & E-mail address to send mail from
These email boxes are powered by Amazon workplace
Now within each email - I am setting a from email which is info@domain.com
These email boxes are not Amazon workplace
Someone please help thanks

Have you set up the DKIM and SPF records?
https://mautic.com/help/deliverability/
https://mautic.com/help/configure-deliverability/ (this is based on the cloud version - but the principles apply)
Yes all that was set
Please be aware of the following as already indicated
- The domain Mautic is on - delivers emails without any issue directly to the main / primary inbox
The issue is that domain is not my business domain. When sending emails that relates to my business I place my business inemail in the form https://www.screencast.com/t/OKDAsKUC3V but those emails go straight to junk
I cannot have Mautic domain be the from email it will confuse customers.
I hope I am making sense
Thanks
Wen
@MxyzptlkFishStix is correct.
I assume you are sending email using your own MTA (Mail Transport Agent) on your server.
Since you suspect the issue began when you moved VPS providers, you should check if your server IP address is on a blacklist.
http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check
Also, you should ensure you’re not running your email server as an open relay, as most corporate email servers automatically treat any emails from such misconfigured email servers as spam. If the result you get from this test is “Unable to connect after 15 seconds.” then you are not running an open relay. https://mxtoolbox.com/diagnostic.aspx
Please share more information so we can assist you further.
@MxyzptlkFishStix thanks for the info. I have done IP test for spam amd the IP address is golden.
I believe this has nothing to do with email reputation I think @autoize nailed it. It has to do with the email set up on my website server.
My custom domain used to set up Mautic delivers the email right into the primary mail box. But for branding purpose and not to get my customers confuse I cannot use that email as it will confuse them.
Question how many custom domain can you set up on mautic and where do you set this up?
Thanks
Hi @autoize thanks for the information provided
The IP address is golden no issue
However when I ran https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx
I got this message
" Lookup failed after 2 name servers timed out or responded non-authoritatively"
So how do I fix this please.
Yes it is info@mydomain.com
This is my set up
I am not using NS type setup
I kept the name server to remain with godaddy the domain naem provider even though I am not hosting with then however I made changes to the DNS Zone files
A record points to my ip address
MX point to mail.mydomain.com
I have a txt values for the default_domain keys
default_domain key
So I do not know if the error message has to do with the fact that the NS points to godaddy.
@gowen Which DNS provider you use to host your zone file (GoDaddy, in your case) should not affect email deliverability. To answer your question how to send email in Mautic from a different address than the one specified as the default email in Settings > Configuration > Email Settings:
You can change this on an email-by-email basis by specifying the “From address” in the Advanced tab of the email editor. This overrides the email address set up in the global settings for that email only.
In your business domain’s DNS settings, can you double check the syntax on the SPF record listing the servers authorized to send email on that domain’s behalf. This is a separate TXT record from the DKIM record.
The syntax should look something like this, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of your VPS, and otheremailgateway.com is to enable any other 3rd party email providers such as Google Apps, SendGrid or SparkPost etc.
v=spf1 ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx include:otheremailgateway.com ~all
Does anyone got a solution for this
There are different problems and solutions given above. What is your problem?
Email going in Spam …
I am thinking it might be issue from email provider
but can i check that and how
Hi joeyk,
Thanks for attention
We checked and found there was an issue with the Email provider
SPF record issue
Glad to hear you could fix it.
