Does Mautic only work with the primary domain through Softaculous?

Hi guys, I have a primary domain on my hosting account, and have added an additional domain that doesn’t seem to work with Mautic. Do you think if I made it the primary domain it would connect with Mautic? It seems simple to set up but when I test the connection it fails with the additional domain. Thanks
