Help with creating campaign

I started creating my first campaign and really like the canvas. Similar to Eloqua. Below the workflow.


  1. send email 1.0
  2. On open send email 2.0 / not open send email 1.1
  3. after email 1.1 you get email 2.0
  4. Email 2.0 open means end of campaign / not open send email 2.1
  5. After email 2.1 end of campaign



    A. Very simple only Mautic does not give me the option to go back to email 2.0 but i have to create a duplicate worklow below. Ideally i want to follow the red line (see below)

    B. Seems not possible to create a flow that just send email 1.0, followed by email 2.0 etc. you have to always but open in between?

    C. Missing the option of click in an email. Yes you can use downloaded asset or visit a page.

I searched through the blogs and came across the following blog article https://www.mautic.org/blog/marketer/tip-of-the-week-campaign-builder-connections/.

It looks like things do not have to be connected.

@Netram thanks for pointing this out but honestly this is even more confusing because if items are not connected how the system knows when to send an email instead of another?

I have to do a little bit of research to find out more.

This does exactly what i wanted. You use the desicions to let the system know when to send an email. For example: Donwloaded assets -> Send email based on trigger (user downloaded the asset).

Things you can’t do is: Wait 1 day -> downloaded assets? YES -> send email A | NO send email B.

@Netram why can’t you do: wait 1 day > downloaded?
yes > send email A
no > send email B

I also have problems with the asset thing.

I have created a remote asset that links to http://www.google.com just for test purpose.

I have placed the http://www.google.com link in email #1

In the campaign builder there’s a decision that asks if the asset has ben downloaded:
yes: add 10 points
no: re-send email #1

The problem is that the system recognize the link click on http://www.google.com but doen’t add points nor re-send email.

Also how would you create a campaign where a first email goes out that contains a link to a page.

If the contact clicks on that link receives one email every day for a week.

If the contact doesn’t click on that link receives a reminder of the first email after 1 day that contain the same link.

If the contact still doesn’t click on the link is added to the same sequence of 1 email sent every day for a week.

It’s very simple but since i can’t unite two branches i can’t get my head around on how to do it.
