We are relatively new to Mautic.
We can’t determine if it is possible to host Mautic yourself and get all the benefits listed under Pro? What would be the positives and negatives (including costings) if hosting on our server is an option (realise this might depend on what we want to do so, please feel free to ask for details)?

You can host it yourself.
The pro is that you control everything and you can have as many contacts as you want… the con is that you control everything… so updates and troubleshooting are all on you.
If you are looking for a hands off solutions where you just use the platform then the hosted version is for you.
If you want to get your hands a little dirty, and want to just host mautic with the rest of your website then self hosting is probably for you.
