The WYSIWYG has been disabled since v2.0

And how can I create rich text/media newsletters? How do I edit past emails?

With the new editor or use an external WYSIWYG and then code the HTML to the Mautic editor.

To access the new editor, select the Blank template or one of the default templates instead of Code Mode when composing a new email in Mautic. Then you can drag and drop elements such as text, images and buttons to your email. Like @ninjoan has said, Code Mode is for copy and pasting code from an external editor into Mautic.
