Progressive Profiling

We are a HubSpot partner and have been using HubSpot for a few years now and it’s a system that’s getting better and better, but with the continual releases of Mautic we are moving our marketing automation to Mautic and integrating with Joomla.

Anyway, HubSpot has a progressive profiling system whereby you collect user data in a progressive manner, so you only ask for the basic of information but when they complete one or more fields they hide, similar to what they do now, but then the form is populated with fields that were essentially waiting in line to be shown, this ensures the amount of form fields showing aren’t enough to put the prospect completing the fields but it does allow us to continually capture user data and build their profile with every form they complete.

Is this something that’s likely to be considered for the future?

Thanks

Derek

The behaviour is slightly different than what I expected, so at the moment you can hide a form field when the value exists, which is fantastic.

There is another field that determines when to show a field, but it only seems to be after a certain amount of submissions, so this means it’s not automatically shown if the other fields are hidden, which is what I’m getting at, although this will work if the fields are required it won’t work all of the time.

So for instance, if someone completes a form and does not complete all fields, and the fields are configured to show after the first submission, then it could lead to a long form, of course, if you make the fields required this would solve that issue.

I’ll take another look at this, but it might be easier to have the fields in a queue to automatically show when the others are completed.

Cheers
