Questions and Job Offer (Questions and Job Offer)

Dear Mautic Community,

we are a non-profit (gemeinnütziger und mildtätiger Verein) called Perma (ZVR 1644988734) and are currently developing PermaplanT, a web app that should support sustainable and bio-diverse gardening.
We integrated Mautic on the landing page, and plan to use it with an onboarding campaign and as a newsletter.

We have a few questions and need help.

Is it possible that Mautic forwards emails to a newsletter like it works in a mailinglist?
What we found is post to segment via email in the web interface.

What is the recommended way to have several newsletters with an unsubscription for each?
Is there maybe some way that every person that enters our mautic gets all these subscriptions by default?
Or is this already determined by the REST call our frontend sends to mautic?

How to handle if we have new ideas about newsletters?
Can the whole current segment added to a new newsletter?
E.g. when we have an event like PermaplanTreffen2026, everyone should get an invitation and people not interested should be able to unsubscribe just about this event.

Can you tell us where we can find templates for emails or landing pages?

Where can I find more information about plugins?

Is there someone who is interested in the web app or generally in sustainability and wants to help us with this and other Mautic challenges?

If you are interested in a job (currently we cannot hire a Mautic-only person but are searching for a general sys-admin) please apply here: Ansible-Linux-Hacker*in für Naturschutz und Gemeinwohl in Unterfrauenhaid | willhaben Jobs
or directly here: Nextcloud (beides Deutsch)

best regards,
Markus (Obmann)

Hi @markus23

It seams like you have a lot of questions. You will get better and faster results here in the forum if you post them individually.

Maybe our one off or continuing Mautic support services are relevant for you? The Mautic services will be in German or English.

Thank you @adiux,

Yes, sounds good. If I can’t find anyone who is familiar with Mautic and wants to work with me, we would like to take advantage of your support. The €93/month pricing sounds reasonable. Are there any limitations regarding the number of questions or similar? Do you also help with templates, plugins, etc.?

Best regards,
Markus

Hi Markus,

(English below)

Just briefly, because I’m on the road:

  • I’m not sure if I understand all your questions correctly, but we can definitely have a quick chat next week.
  • I’ve implemented/set up and operated Mautic for several clients.

But generally, regarding your questions—for example, the first one about forwarding: You create emails in Mautic, and Mautic then sends them out as newsletters (or automated campaigns, e.g., for onboarding emails). You can send such a newsletter to one or more segments. In theory, you can also customize/personalize parts of the newsletter based on segments.

The function to unsubscribe from only one event—or specific topics—is a bit “tricky” off the top of my head, but I have a few ideas on how to solve this. It should be possible, though perhaps not entirely straightforward.

Templates are quite easy to create. Mautic includes a basic template library. I haven’t seen many free/paid templates specifically designed for Mautic, but from my experience, templates can be created quite easily and quickly.

Plugins—what exactly are you interested in? Basic info is available in the documentation. Otherwise, I’d need your specific questions.

Regarding job: I have a great day job, but I also do Mautic (among other things, including minor sysadmin tasks, as it happened to evolve that way freelancing). Actually, I mainly focus on marketing and related work for regional and, above all, sustainably operating companies and initiatives—because I want to give something back and don’t always want to work only for the big players (in my day job).

Warm regards,
Sven

P.S.: I’d be happy to hop on a call with you next week if you’re interested.

Hey, thank you, that’s a huge offer from you, thank you!

I’ll first check if I can find someone to manage our infrastructure, etc., and once that’s working, I’ll definitely get back to your offer. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hi @markus23 , the limitations are only in the channel and the type of questions. It covers all support questions regarding the use of the tool.
If you have consulting questions, you would need to upgrade to the Mautic business support: https://aivie.ch/en/product/business-support-aivie-mautic/

The goal of Aivie is to be your external longer term Mautic partner. As most companies will not need a 100% in house Mautic consultant.

We actually have long running experience integrating with various apps. So we can provide you with expertise, support and all other technical aspects of it. Here is the case of a travel tech startup that we helped with Mautic:
